Every Saturday Night from May 1st through October 31st we have Country Western dances at our Community Center.

The finest country bands from the area will entertain the whole family. Come on down and get to know your new neighbors. Enjoy the splendor of the West Virginia mountains on one of our hiking trails where you will find some of the most unique wild flowers and birds in the country.

We have 24 miles of mountain bike trails for those who need a more challenging outdoor experience. The mountain bike and hiking trails are open from January 1st thru October 1st.

Come stay in one of our cabins, great for a week long vacation or just a weekend getaway.

At 35 acre Big Bear Lake, you and your family can swim, fish or just lay on the beach. Plus at Baby Bear Lake, the whole family can make sand castles or float on a raft and enjoy the gentle summer breeze.

CATHEDRAL STATE PARK

Home to an ancient hemlock forest. Trees 90 feet tall and 21 feet in circumference form the park’s dramatic “cloisters”. An old-growth mixed forest with Eastern Hemlock being the dominant species. Rt. 50, near Aurora, WV. Open daily 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

CHEAT CANYON

13 miles of world-class whitewater with over 30 Class III-IV rapids. This high adventure rafting trip is guided by state certified guides and includes a complete lunch on the river. The Cheat Canyon is at its best from March through June and any time rainfall is plentiful.

CHEAT NARROWS

7 mile, half-day trip for beginners and advanced paddlers alike. In the high water months of March through June, the Narrows is comprised of Class III+ rapids navigated in guided rafts. In the summer months, it’s a mild Class II-III run suitable for families with kids ages 6 and up. Trips are offered with or without a riverside picnic lunch.
